Where the magic happens.
Fresh out of college, Ernie Perich moved to Ann Arbor to work at Domino’s Pizza’s ad agency. It was a good run. He was promoted six times in six years. By the time he was 28, he was in charge of the creative for a $60 million account. The Noid was everywhere. Mom and dad were proud. Then Ernie was fired. After that, the party started.
Off to the races.
Ernie and his wife Shirley launched their own firm in 1987. They invited five people they admired and respected to come along for the ride. All five said yes. And so Perich Advertising + Design was born, in a tiny space above a restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor.
Decades (and a few office spaces) later, we’re still driven by the same things that drove us on day one. Hard work. Arguments. Jokes. Quality deli sandwiches. Not settling. Not blending in. No jerks allowed. The best idea wins.
People are surprised at the brands our agency in a Midwestern college town has worked with. Maybe they realized our small team is just as good as the small team they'd work with at a larger agency.
Upward. Onward.
Our best work is simple. Clean. Smart. It respects people’s intelligence and attention spans. It can bring a smile.
Most importantly, it’s hard to ignore.
But the magic happens just like it always has, with a bunch of talented, scrappy, highly caffeinated people kicking around ideas and doing what we do best–for you.
